Bishop Mark Eckman will be installed as the 13th Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh on Monday, July 14 at Saint Paul Cathedral in Oakland, Pittsburgh. The Mass will begin at 2:30 pm. All are welcome, and the ordination will be live streamed at www.diopitt.org/congratulationsbishopeckman
A native of Pittsburgh, Bishop Eckman was ordained an auxiliary bishop in 2022 and has served as pastor of Resurrection Parish in the South Hills, where he grew up. Since his priestly ordination in 1985, he has served primarily in South Hills parishes. From 2013 until 2020 he was episcopal vicar for clergy personnel.
